Safe to say people are a little bit peeved with Tampax right now.
In case you hadn’t noticed, the world famous tampon brand have redesigned the Tampax Compak (known for being the smallest and most discreet of all the options) into the newly named Pocket Pearl.
The main difference is the applicator, which has been altered slightly, in the hope of offering up a superior product to women.
Only, users kind of despise it. And women worldwide are seriously unhappy at the changes.
If you take a look at the Amazon reviews, the Pocket Pearl has been rated with one star by a crazy 74% of users, and scores an average of just 1.7 stars. Oof.
And the comments aren’t any kinder…
‘The tampon just gets stuck in the applicator opening and there’s nothing I can do about it because I can’t push the applicator stick any further. It’s maddening!’ one reviewer wrote.
‘I feel like I’m throwing away money. This is the first and last time I will be buying this brand,’ she added.
Many others agreed, commenting that the new applicator causes much more leakage, and is overall a pretty poor product. Ouch.
Tampax has responded to the complaints with a statement that says: ‘We appreciate your feedback and I’m sharing your comments with our design team, who are continuously looking at ways to improve our products.’
