The Strictly Come Dancing pair left fans worried after Brendan Cole was seen clutching his chest...
If you’re as big a Strictly Come Dancing fan as us, you would have thought that Saturday night’s show was one of the best yet.
But between Danny Mac’s snake-hips and Daisy Lowe’s seriously sexy Rumba, there was only couple on people’s lips – Anastacia and Brendan Cole.
After Anastacia’s injury two weeks ago, and rumours of backstage arguments between the pair, all eyes were on the dancing duo to see how they fared this week.
And if you asked us, they looked incred.
Anastacia turned out in a gorgeous front-split sequin frock that boasted a sexy plunging neckline, and we thought she’d improved her fancy footwork ten-fold.
But viewers were left a little concerned after the pair’s performance, as Brendan was seen clutching his chest, visibly in pain, as they stood in front of the judges.
ARE YOU OKAY, BRENDAN?!
Before his performance, it was reported that Brandan had been ‘rushed to hospital’ after a lung infection that left him short of breath.
So no wonder fans were worried…
‘Fair play to Brendan for showing up because you can tell he was trying his best not to cough up a lung on live tv 😔 #Strictly’, one viewer tweeted.
‘Aww poor Brendan! Trying to cough offscreen! Hope he gets better soon. #Strictly’, wrote another.
And even when he got upstairs to hang with Claudia Winkleman, Brendan looked desperate to leave as he tried to compose himself.
However, after him and Anastacia had escaped elimination (they were in the bottom two, again), the pro dancer took to Twitter to explain all.
‘Many reports out there that I was rushed to A&E Friday Night. NO! Just popped down as worried about my lungs. Small lung infection, all OK’, he posted.
‘There was never a question of me not dancing. I wasn’t holding my chest I was covering my Mic so that I didn’t cough down it. #Strictly’, Brendan continued.
‘I didn’t even tell @AnastaciaMusic I’d popped to A& E as I didn’t want her to worry. She wanted me to get to the Doc all week!’
Well, that’s cleared that up then. Get better soon, Brendan!
