Made In Chelsea‘s Spencer Matthews proved he’s now a resident pro at styling out that awkward current-girlfriend-meets-ex-girlfriend situation when he rocked up to former flame Caggie Dunlop‘s fashion launch party with new girlfriend Stephanie Pratt on his arm. Smooth.
Earlier this month, we watched MIC’s coolest customer enjoy a huge bear hug and a friendly natter with ex Louise Thompson after bumping into her in the street despite being hand in hand with new fling Stephanie. And now, Spenny’s gone and done it again by taking his The Hills star squeeze to meet ‘the one that got away’ Cags at the launch of her new ISWAI pop-up boutique on Kings Road.
Looking fresh and tanned from his and Stephanie’s recent vaycay to Cap d’Antibes, the smooth-talking hotel heir showed zero signs of awkwardness as he cosied up to both Stephanie and Caggie for the cameras. Anyone else think Steph and Cag could be sisters?!
The SW3 gang were also joined by former MIC star Hugo Taylor, who is rumoured to be considering a return to the E4 show, and fellow fashion designer Oliver Proudlock who was proudly parading his new model lady Grace McGovern.
Caggie, who looked hot in a pair of folded-down distressed dungarees and a t-shirt from her new collection, recently spoke out about her and Spenny’s complicated history. “The weird thing is now it’s just going to be like Caggie’s ex-boyfriend, but me and Spencer never went out”, she told Glamour.com about her former friend-with-benefits.
“We just managed to strongout this ‘will-they-won’t-they-thing’ for two seasons, but we never dated.”
We can’t wait to witness the moment when Stephanie meets Lucy Watson. Somehow, we have a feeling that introduction won’t run quite as smoothly for our Spenny…
