When we first heard that Scarlett Moffatt would be heading into the I’m A Celebrity jungle, there was one thought that stood out in our minds.
Imagine us watching the Gogglebox lot, watching Scarlett’s jungle antics. We mean, it’s like the perfect reality television circle.
But viewers have wasted no time in expressing their disappointment at the Channel 4 show’s lack of coverage of their very own Moffatt’s time in the jungle. And it hasn’t taken long for conspiracy theories to start cropping up here, there and everywhere. Because, internet.
Since heading out into the jungle, the hilarious Geordie lass hasn’t been featured on the show that first made her famous.
Stranger still, Scarlett’s parents haven’t been seen on the show either.
There had been a lot of chat of possible ‘resentment’ amongst the Gogglebox families, with many believing that Scarlett – who is no doubt one of the breakout stars of the show – getting ‘VIP’ treatment.
Now, she’s clearly making it on her own, making the I’m A Celeb line-up alongside TV stars such as Carol Vorderman and Larry Lamb.
The rumours of negativity amongst the television-watching families have been denied by Channel 4, with a previous statement reading: ‘All the cast are thrilled for Scarlett and wish her all the best in the jungle.’
But many are taking their lack of inclusion of Scarlett’s jungle antics as a sign that there might be something else going on behind the scenes.
