Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. In a movie. Together. Yes, trust us when we say that it’s every bit as amazing as it sounds.
We’re excited to tell you that we’re giving you the chance to see it first at our exclusive screenings.
Teaming up in every sense of the word, this hilarious duo play two sisters, who just so happen to throw the party to end all parties.
And, as you can imagine, the events that unfold will have you laughing out loud in your cinema seats.
Sisters Maura and Kate Ellis are devastated when their parents decide to sell their family home – so they decide to say goodbye to the house the only way they know how – by throwing a massive party and inviting all their old school friends.
However, they quickly learn that the adults they’ve grown to become don’t quite reflect who they were at school – something every ‘adult’ can relate too, no?
Maura (played by Amy) is a do-gooder nurse who has spent her life looking after other people – and never letting loose herself. Even as a teenager she was the designated ‘party mum’ holding back people’s hair when they were sick and staying sober to ensure little chaos ensued.
This chaos was usually caused by older sister Kate (Tina Fey) who has lived her life wild and loosely, with her teenage daughter Hayley often having to pick up the pieces.
At the party the past is all played out, as the sisters say goodbye to their old lives in order to move forward.
If you’ve ever written an embarrassing diary entry, had a high-school enemy who you’re not really sure why you still hate or have a sibling or best friend whose the opposite to you, but you love each other 100% (no matter how much you fight) this is the film for you.
