The host insists he wasn't offended by Simon's words on Saturday night's show...
Rylan Clark-Neal has defended Simon Cowell after he made a joke about gay sex on Saturday night’s Xtra Factor.
Simon and fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh were chatting to callers when the 57-year-old came out with the awkward quip.

Rylan, 27, and co-host Matt Edmondson had asked the panel to pick a door, which would open to a waiting viewer.
At one point, Rylan said: ‘I love a front door,’ before Simon replied: ‘I thought you liked a back door.’
Eek. Rylan didn’t seem too bothered, hitting back: ‘Oh Simon! Shall I show you how much?’ However, the audience were visibly shocked.
Simon immediately seemed to regret his comment, saying: ‘I apologise. I shouldn’t have said that. That’s why I should never do live TV.’
And Rylan later clarified that he wasn’t fussed, Tweeting: ‘Thanks for watching. And @SimonCowell made a joke, no biggie, and I took it….. (another joke) all love and laughs on #XtraFactorLive x.’
He shared a longer statement yesterday, which read: ‘Genuinely wasn’t offended by Simon last night but understand some people might be it was just a joke between friends and meant extremely lighthearted.
‘But trust me I’m more offended by comments I get on social media every day calling me worse names by p***** sitting behind a keyboard.
‘It was banter in this case and I personally wasn’t offended….
‘Also I’ll get him to buy me a house in Ibiza whilst threatening to sue him…. win win x.’
