Rylan’s This Morning Interview With Britney Spears Is Our New Favourite Thing

Seriously. What a double act...

After much anticipation, Rylan Clark-Neal’s interview with Britney Spears aired on This Morning today. And we have to say, it was definitely worth the wait.

The former X Factor contestant teased his segment on Friday’s show, keeping us all guessing about how Brit was going to react to his over-the-top ways.

Yup, it involved a lot of dancing (aka rolling around on the floor) and some particularly odd facial expressions.

But it’s safe to say that fans really enjoyed watching the presenter come face-to-face with the Baby One More Time singer.

The pop legend is currently promoting her new album Glory, and recently returned to London for a show-stopping performance at Camden’s Roundhouse.

Rylan decided that a simple Q&A just would not do, and instead planned a hilarious game with the American star.

He told Britney that he was going to do a little dance routine along to some of her hits, and she had to guess the song.

We mean, you can imagine the LOLs.

And Britney Spear’s face kind of says it all.

Social media reacted to the segment in the best way, with tweets including:

Britney did pretty well at guessing her own songs, but Rylan wasn’t impressed when she successfully identified Slave 4 U. Why? Well, he wanted to finish his routine, of course.

He explained to Schofe: ‘I’ve been practicing that since when I was twelve. Fuming mate.’

Oh dear.

Talking to hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on Friday, the This Morning presenter told them about Britney’s reaction: ‘There’s my leg up there, she’s looking at her PR like, “Why am I here? … Is this really happening? Are his teeth real?”‘

He described the legend as a ‘really lovely girl’, and continued: ‘It was really fun, we had a great time and I love her to bits.’

Bless. And we love you, Rylan.
