It’s safe to say that Cheryl and Liam Payne are looking pretty loved-up right now.
With Chezza being Liam’s plus one at his older sister Ruth’s wedding over the weekend, she’s now met the parents. And, er, the entire extended family.
But while we’re sure she made good impression on the Paynes, there was one thing about her appearance at the ceremony that some weren’t so impressed with.
What was that? Well, it was her outfit.
In case you missed the headlines earlier in the week, the 32-year-old had arrived in Wolverhampton in a plain grey Rick Owens dress and a pair of black Saint Laurent platforms.
Now, there’s no denying that Cheryl had made an effort. We mean, the dress cost £1090 alone. And if anyone can pull off a super-simple frock like that, it’s her.
Apparently she went low-key to avoid upstaging the bride, but it’s so far from her usual look we almost didn’t recognise her.
The ensemble completely divided opinion in the LOOK office, as well as on Twitter.
As one member of our team argued: ‘The irony of it all is that apparently she wanted to be low-key and not steal attention from the bride as she wasn’t originally meant to be at the wedding.

‘But by wearing something so ill-fitting and out of character, she’s done the complete opposite!’
Happily, it doesn’t seem as though Chezza’s look (or the fact that, y’know, she was even there) detracted from Ruth and her new husband Thomas Gibbins’ day.
Ruth has since shared a number of photos from her nuptials on Twitter and Instagram, telling followers: ‘Thanks for all the well wishes. We had an amazing day.’
Aw. Congratulations, lady!
