Victoria Beckham has reportedly been giving new mum and friend Kate Middleton parenting tips following the birth of baby George, with the Spice-Girl-turned designer planning a special playdate for daughter Harper and Kate’s royal baby boy!
39-year-old Victoria, who struck up a close friendship with Kate during her pregnancy, is said to have put in a call to the mum-to-be before the little Prince of Cambridge was welcomed into the world last Monday, offering up her tips on raising a baby in the public eye.
“Victoria and Kate have had a strong friendship for some time now and Victoria was very keen to offer a helping hand”, a source told the Daily Star. “She knows all about raising children in front of the media and the pressures it can have on family life.”
And now, the experienced mum-of-four is said to be keen to get 18-month-old Harper and one-week-old George together for some baby bonding sessions. But with Kate and husband Prince William safely tucked away at the Middletons’ family home in Berkshire with their newborn, it looks like VB will have to wait a while before her and K-Middy will be enjoying mummy luncheons at Nobu…
“Sadly, Kate’s not in a position to go out for regular mummy lunches with her friends”, the source said. “It’s more likely that Victoria will visit Kate at her home with baby Harper. She thinks their kids could develop a great friendship in the future, just like her and Kate.”
“Having this extra support from someone like Victoria is so comforting”, the source addd.
Victoria and husband David Beckham, who were both present at Kate and William’s royal wedding back in 2011, count themselves as close friends of the royal couple. Becks, who worked with Wills on the 2012 Olympic bid, even gushed about the royal couple’s parenting skills in a recent interview.
“William and Kate, they’re going to be amazing parents because they’re so loving towards children”, he told The Sun. “You see the way they are. Obviously I’ve seen more of William than I have of Kate but William has been in all of our lives for so many years. We’ve seen him grow from that young boy into an unbelievable gentleman.
“That’s an amazing quality that he shows and I think that, as a father, is so important”, the retired footballer said.
We love this famous parent mash-up these four have got going on, and we predict big things for Harper and George… Well, Harps is our top pick of potential princesses for the future King, after all!
