Kate Middleton and Prince Wiliam could be set to make their first family outing with royal baby George this weekend as the Duke of Cambridge confirms his attendance to a charity polo match on Saturday.
According to The Mirror, dad-of-one Will is due to join brother Prince Harry at the Audi Polo Challenge at Ascot before he resumes his RAF duties in North Wales following his two weeks paternity leave, sparking speculation that 31-year-old wife Kate and baby George may join him to support from sidelines.
The royal sporting event will mark the Duke’s first public engagement since becoming a dad, and with Will scheduled to make a short speech before the match, we’ve got our fingers crossed that he spills the beans about life as a new parent to the little Prince…
The Duke and Duchess, who welcomed their baby boy George Alexander Louis last week, are currently living at Kate’s £7.5 million family home in Berkshire while renovations are made to their swanky Palace apartment.
And although Clarence House have are said to have stated that new mum Kate isn’t expected to attend Saturday’s game, with Ascot just down the road (well, 45 minutes in the car…), it wouldn’t be totally unlikely that she might be tempted to come out of hiding for an afternoon of sun, sport and (now it’s allowed) champers.
Here’s hoping baby’s big day out ends up happening!
