Kate Middleton has given little baby George quite possibly the cutest royal nursery of all time, reportedly decorating the Prince’s palace with floor-to-ceiling Beatrix Potter characters. Aww!
According to Daily Mail the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shunned royal tradition, which involves kitting the future King’s room out with a load of antique furniture, and opted instead for a Beatrix Potter-themed nursery featuring characters from the author’s classic children’s books.
The likes of Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail are believed to feature in baby George’s super cute nursery at Kate and Will’s luxury Kensington Palace apartment. A dreary 18th-century mural versus Jemima and friends? We know which one we reckon little Georgey would prefer to gaze at before bedtime…
31-year-old Kate is said to have created her Beatrix Potter masterpiece for little George with the help of swanky Knightsbridge nursery outfitters Dragons’, who have a special Beatrix Potter collection. “The collection features a number of adorable handmade and decorated items, including the Cambridge Toybox and a Grand Daughter Clock, which are handpainted with the adorable bunny drawings and personalised with a child’s name”, a source told Hello! magazine.
“The Dragons’ cotbed, chest of drawers and chair could all be ready for George when he moves to Kensington Palace, along with the numerous presents his family have already receieved on his behalf.”
The mum-of-one was spotted shopping for furniture and baby accessories for her little one back in May, admitting that she and hubby Will still had “a lot to do” with regard to the nursery. Sounds like it was worth the effort – we want to move in!
You’re never too old for a Peter Rabbit bedspread. Right?
