The Saturdays singer chose to frame her umbilical cord after the birth of second daughter Valentina...
Everything seems pretty lovely for Rochelle Humes and her husband Marvin right now.
The Saturdays singer turns 28 today, and welcomed her second daughter Valentina Raine – a sister for three-year-old Alaia-Mai – earlier this month.
But there was one thing about the announcement of Valentina’s birth that got fans talking.
Rochelle decided to keep her umbilical cord – and frame it. The length of birth matter had been twisted into a curly ‘Love’ and placed behind a pink frame. The gift appeared to have been sent by Danielle at Placenta Plus, along with a bottle of Placenta Pills.
At the time, she captioned an Instagram snap of the set: ‘After being very curious I took the plunge, so excited to feel the benefits..Thanks so much Danielle @placentaplus 👸🏽💝.’
Unsurprisingly, the image caused a bit of a divide among her followers.
Some were all for it, with one commenting: ‘What a Beautiful idea! Don’t see how anyone can be so negative about this ❣️.’ However, others weren’t so sure. Another message read: ‘Why o Why would you put something so personal on here for the world to see? I personally find it really weird [sic].’

Personally, we think mum knows best. And Rochelle’s got the backing of another celebrity parent – Peter Andre.
Pete, 44, tells New!: ‘Poor Rochelle Humes was getting grief for framing her daughter Valentina’s umbilical cord.
‘Um, well we’ve kept things like [daughter] Mills’ first lock of hair and nail clippings – it’s your child, you can keep what you like!
‘I’d probably draw the line at putting the placenta in the freezer but I’m all for keeping a bit of the umbilical cord. I’m loving the name Valentina too!’
As are we, lady.
