Robert Pattinson has joined Naomi Watts in Werner Herzog’s new film Queen Of The Desert, focusing on the life of English writer Gertrude Bell. She was one of the first women to graduate from Oxford, and became an archaeologist, explorer and political attaché for the British Empire. Impressive!
Rob has been back in the public eye promoting Cosmopolis, after Kristen Stewart‘s affair with Rupert Sanders was made public, and he appeared at the New York premiere of the movie last night, as well as being interviewed on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.
Variety reports that he’ll play Bell’s friend T.E. Lawrence in the film – “a British Army officer whose writing earned him international fame as Lawrence Of Arabia, on whom David Lean’s classic 1962 epic is based.”
Wow – sounds like an amazing role for Rob! BS
