Robbie Williams Scores Double Number One

Robbie Williams is celebrating today, after this weekend’s charts put him at number one in both the UK single and album charts!

Candy stayed at the top spot for a second week, while his latest album Take The Crown debuted at number one, according to the Official Charts Company.

It’s the first time he’s been at number one in both charts since 2001, when Swing When You’re Winning was the top album, and his duet with Nicole Kidman, Somethin’ Stupid, was number one in the singles charts.

As if that’s not enough, Robbie’s now matched U2 for the amount of number one albums in the UK (ten(!)), and only has the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Madonna and The Beatles in front of him. Wow.

Robbie‘s pal Gary Barlow sent his congrats, writing “Congrats @robbiewilliams for another week at number 1 ! V happy”

It’s no wonder that he’s happy – Gary cowrote the single!

Nice teamwork, lads… BS
