Rita Ora has officially announced that she will be bringing some of that infamous Rita swag to Madonna‘s Material Girl clothing label as the new face of the brand, just as LOOK predicted!

Replacing model Georgia May Jagger, the 22-year-old Radioactive singer will be fronting the teen-led clothing line after reportedly signing a whopping £500,000 deal with label head, Queen Madge. The musical fashion collaboration is said to have come about after Madonna’s 16-year-old daughter Lourdes, who co-designs the collection, recommended Rita to her mum.

“Lourdes has been a fan of Rita for a while and has been to many of her gigs. She persuaded her mum to see her”, a source told The Sun. “They met at the Met Ball in New York last week and Madonna admired Rita’s attitude so signed the idea off.”

The Serbian-born singer, who is currently dating DJ Calvin Harris, is clearly thrilled with her new venture, announcing the new on Instagram last night. “Joining forces with Madonna & Lola! It’s Official Ritabots – I’m the new face of @MaterialGirl. #thisisamoment for me #icon #mymuse #argghhhhh #yeeeeaaahhhhhhh #excited 🙂 🙂 :)”, she excitedly posted.

And Rita is reportedly hoping the new project will help her crack America by giving her party tunes more exposure stateside. “Rita jumped at the chance because she’s such a fan of the Queen of Pop”, adds the source. “She also hopes it will help her crack the States in the same way she has the UK.”

With Ora already the face of footwear brand Superga and potentially planning her own fashion line with supermodel BFF Cara Delevingne, it looks like Rita’s having no trouble carving her way into the fashionsphere.
