Rihanna Makes Music History With The Monster

Rihanna has made UK singles chart history, becoming the third artist after Elvis Presely and The Beatles to reach No 1 seven times in seven consecutive years.

Rihanna sealed her place in pop history with Eminem‘s new track The Monster, on which the 25-year old is featured rapping.

The Bajan beauty and Eminem have previously collaborated together on Rihanna’s single Love the Way You Lie which narrowly missed the No 1 in 2010, settling instead for second place in the UK charts.

But this time around, the pair made sure their single hit the top spot. The Monster managed to beat off tough competition from New Zealander Lorde, as well as One Direction, whose new single Story Of My Life was widely tipped to be their fourth number one.

It was a good weekend for Eminem too – not only was this his first number one hit since 2006, but the 41-year old rapper also took home Artist of the Year at the first ever Youtube Awards.

Eminem and Rihanna’s chart storming single appears on Eminem’s latest album, Marshall Mathers LP 2, which is released tomorrow, November 5.

Looks like Rihanna and Eminem are a real force to be reckoned with…
