The couple were seen 'holding hands' whilst buying a Christmas tree in Battersea park... Plus some mistletoe!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just did that thing that couples do to prove they’re serious… They bought their first Christmas tree together.
Yep, the royal and his Suits actress girlfriend were spotted by an eagle-eyed passerby at Battersea Park in London earlier this week purchasing their pine tree – a 6ft Nordmann Fir, to be exact – and the whole thing sounded cuter than cute.
Store server Zaqia Crawford, who works at the Pine and Needles, says that Harry and Megan were holding hands and looked very happy, telling BBC News:
‘They came in to buy a tree, they were looking at trees and I went over to help them pick the tree. They knew exactly which tree they wanted – it wasn’t exactly a long process. They were really friendly, really nice… I didn’t know it was them at all.’
The prince was later recognised by staff members Ollie Wilkinson and Cian Llewellyn, who decided to get cheeky and hand over some mistletoe to the famous couple.
‘I said, “Would you like this mistletoe’ and she (Meghan) said “yes that would be great.”‘
‘[Harry] then squeezed one of the berries on it and was like “I find this stuff weird” and then she was like “oh, I really like it”‘.
‘Then he walked off with the tree on his shoulder, holding her hand, and she was holding in her other hand a bunch of mistletoe.’
Store owner John Wilkie then added ‘We’re very, very, proud to be able to serve a member of the Royal Family.’
