The TOWIE star has given fans an update on how he and Megan might be doing since Wednesday's emotional episode of The Only Way Is Essex...
Pete Wicks has faced one serious backlash this week after Wednesday night’s episode of TOWIE aired.
In the show, we saw an emotional showdown between him and girlfriend Megan McKenna after it was revealed he had been sexting other girls behind her back.
But whilst a furious and distraught Megan cried to BFF Danielle Armstrong about how betrayed she felt, we saw Pete telling James Lock that he would not ‘give up’ on his relationship.
Up until now, Pete has remained silent on the matter, but last night, he took to social media to drop a big hint about where he and Megan are at right now.
Suggesting he’s still trying hard to win Megan back, the 27-year-old shared a quote picture which read: ‘It doesn’t matter how this looks to other people. If this is something you gotta do, then you do it (sic). Fighters fight.’
Pete also followed up with a second black and white image of himself looking pensive, which he simply captioned: ‘⚫️⚪️’.
TOWIE fans had mixed emotions about Pete’s melancholy return to Twitter, though, with one slamming: ‘Shouldn’t need to fight for @Megan_Mckenna_ if u had treated her properly the first time round!’.
‘So your willing to fight now after she told you that she saw the messages? @Megan_Mckenna_ u deserve so much better!’, another slammed.
However, others had a little more faith in Pete and Meg patching things up, with a third commenting: ‘Very true ? never give up if something or someone is worth fighting for ✌?.’
Former TOWIE star Mario Falcone also shared his feelings on the matter last night, jokingly tweeting: ‘Just for the record I will still be buying @P_Wicks01 2017 calendar… Even if he has been a naughty boy ❤️’, which Pete then liked.
After Wednesday’s episode, Megan took to Periscope to explain if she thought her and Pete had any future. And what she said was pretty heartbreaking.
‘Obviously I still love him’, Megan told pal Dani. ‘I can’t turn my feelings off. What’s in my head is, I don’t know if I can get back with someone and not be a paranoid mess. I feel like the whole time I’m going to be worrying. When he’s on his phone. When he’s out. And I don’t know if I can put myself through that.’
We’re with you, Megs.
