After Sunday night's episode of TOWIE, everyone has been waiting to see what the pair might do next...
It’s safe to say that Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna were breaking our hearts on Sunday night.
Of course, we didn’t actually see the huge argument – although, by now, we’ve all seen the pictures and read about the cause of it.
But watching them so loved-up, knowing what was about to happen, was a little too much for us.
Sadly, our favourite Essex couple have hit a rocky patch. It was first revealed by The Sun that Pete had been messaging his ex behind Megan’s back, and Megs later took to Snapchat to admit that it was true, telling her fans that she had previously known about some of the texts, but not the extent of them.
Clearly heartbroken, she told her followers that she the whole thing ‘f****** hurt.’
Since the news broke, Megan has deleted all traces of Pete from her Instagram account, and it’s been reported that the pair have unfollowed each other.
Pete has remained pretty quiet on the subject, not posting to Instagram for over a week, and only returning to Twitter to retweet a message – about a night out, we might add – from his best friend, James Lock.
But now, he’s posted his first photo. And it’s of his late dog, Ernest.
He captioned his picture, simply, ‘Never forgotten.’
The death of his pooch hit him hard earlier in the year, with the TOWIE star penning an emotional tribute to him. At the time, his girlfriend Megan also shared her condolences on social media.
But, given the current circumstances, fans were quick to react to his post.
One wrote: ‘dogs are so loyal Aren’t they. Really thought you were as well but you’re as bad as the rest. Disappointing pete’ [sic].
Another responded to Pete’s words, writing, ‘Megan soon was though!!’
We’ll have to tune in on Wednesday to find out what went down between them…
