The Little Mix singer made a surprising move towards Zayn's little sister, Safaa...
Perrie Edwards has sent a message to Zayn Malik’s sister on social media.
The Little Mix singer recently split from British actor Luke Pasqualino, but has also been causing waves with the lyrics to the band’s new single, Shout Out To My Ex.
After much speculation that Perrie aimed the lyrics at her ex fiance, Zayn, it looks like Perrie’s making a statement of peace by reaching out to Zayn’s little sister, Safaa.
According to The Sun, 23-year-old Safaa posted a poignant quote which read: ‘At some point in your life, you will become aware that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life.’ And Perrie liked it.
It’s no secret that Perrie grew close to Zayn’s sisters whilst dating him for four years, and 1D fans were quick to assume that Perrie’s like was about her ex.
‘Perrie liked, it’s about Zayn’, one posted underneath.
‘Pezza loves you babe’, commented another.
The Little Mix singer’s olive branch comes not long after she revealed the emotional details of her break-up to Heart FM.
Whilst speaking about her lowest ever moment during a break-up, Perrie tellingly said: ‘I think the airport was an interesting one… Remember the airport? I was at the airport and I got an awful phone call, erm, from someone. And then… I just… what did I…? I just remember screaming in the airport’, she said.
Bandmate Jade Thirwall then chipped in by saying: ‘She had a little mini breakdown in the airport. And it was in the security line and so we thought ‘oh god’.’
Aw. We’re just glad Perrie’s in a better place now. And still on good terms with the Maliks, too!
