One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson Starts His New Job

Louis Tomlinson is getting set to hit the pitch as an official Doncaster Rovers footballer now that the his debut match date has been announced.

The One Direction lad, who is enjoying a few months off from the band before their huge April world tour, will play his first competitive match for the South Yorkshire team on February 26, where he and the boys will take on Rotherham United.

Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rovers, said of the club’s newest star: ‘We are pleased to now have a date for Louis’ debut and are looking forward to seeing him against our South Yorkshire neighbours.’

‘We are expecting huge interest in this game with fans from all over the world set to visit the Keepmoat Stadium for this unique occasion’, he continued.

‘I’m sure Louis will be delighted to step on to the hallowed turf and officially become a Doncaster Rovers player for the first time.’

Adorably, it looks like the One Direction pin-up is beginning to feel the nerves as the big day approaches. Following the footie announcement, Louis tweeted: ‘ahhhh very nervous now ha’.

Don’t worry Mr T, you’ve got half of the female population cheering you on.

And even if your ball skills are rubbish, rest assured you’ll never fail to impress in those short shorts…
