One Direction have flown to Africa to learn about the work that Comic Relief is doing to help poverty-stricken families.
The boys have been recording the charity’s official single – a cover of Blondie’s One Way Or Another – and made the time to visit Ghana this week for what they called an “amazing” trip.
It’s believed they recorded footage which will appear on the Comic Relief show in March.
Clearly humbled by the visit, Harry Styles tweeted: “Today was the most amazing day I’ve had so far.. In my life ever. @rednoseday Thank you so much for having us. It was amazing and we’ll see you soon xx.”
Niall Horan added: “Just arrived back from Accra,Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!!”
He then added: “Watch comic relief this @rednoseday, you are in for a shock and eye opener ! and fun too.
“I’ve seen the slums right in front of me! This is no joke! They really need your help! Poverty is real!”
Later, he responded to a fan, saying: “We all are the most selfish people ever! U would not believe that country.” (sic)
We can’t wait to see the footage. Better stock up on tissues… RM
