Olly Murs Is Slammed For Interrupting Rita Ora On X Factor

Uh-oh. Olly Murs has found himself in hot water AGAIN over an awkward X Factor moment.

The presenter came under fire last night when he interviewed judge Rita Ora about her performance with Sigma, who she’s collaborated on new single Coming Home with.

Rita was busy explaining about her upcoming album when Olly, 31, appeared to receive a message in his ear telling him to end the conversation and move onto the next segment.

Unfortunately, he didn’t exactly do this in the most seamless way.

Rita had just said the word ‘but’ – clearly a sign that she had more to add – when he abruptly ended the conversation.

Rita, 25, handled the situation well, quickly composing herself and smiling at the camera.

And TBH, live television can be tricky. So we’re sure she got over it pretty quickly.

But this isn’t the first time that Olly has been accused of a presenting blunder since he and Caroline Flack took over from ex-host Dermot O’Leary at the start of this series.

Rita Ora Rita Ora didn’t seem fazed. Phew

Earlier this month, he got a teeny bit confused when Monica Michael and Anton Stephans were in the bottom two.

When the judging went to deadlock, Olly declared that Monica was going home instead of announcing that it would actually fall back to the public vote. Eek!

His co-presenter Caroline Flack was quick to correct him, before Olly sheepishly held his hands up and took responsibility for the mistake.

It then transpired that Monica really was the contestant with the lowest public votes, so they waved goodbye to her anyway.

At least it’s good telly, eh?
