Dressing up for Halloween isn’t that exciting when you think about how great dogs look dressed up for Halloween. This year is going to be especially uninspiring with Harley Quinns, Donald Trumps, Ken Bones and wobbly-headed dinosaurs prowling the streets. Oh, and thousands of Elevens from Stranger Things.
This weekend saw New York City’s finest pups dressed up in a range of adorable and creative costumes at the 26th annual Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade.
As you could imagine, it was a joyous and totally exhilarating event with dog puns everywhere. We don’t want to waste your time with hiding dog puns within the article so here are three spooky/halloween ones to hit the quota every internet article enforces.

Okay, none of those were particularly great. Let’s get to the cute dogs in costumes!
This is the peak of Halloween fanfare – something I don’t don’t think us Brits will fully understand or take advantage of. Sorry to say but, like all American traditions we adopt, our contribution is just adding binge drinking to the mix.

A classic slash villain found originally in Friday the 13th. But what’s interesting about this version of the costume is the modern twist. The baseball cap and Beats headphones are an awesome addition!
The Great Purple One reincarnated as this cute pup. Though you can never replace Prince, what better way to pay homage than a dog dressed in his likeness? Extra points for the to-scale guitar.

Complete with Ron and Hermione as well as a DIY Hogwarts Express, this group costume is maybe the best group costume of all time (both human and animal). Look at his little tie!!!!
The dog at the back looks absolutely freezing. Extra points for getting the hair on point and accurate for each member!
