Is Mollie King Shading Ex David Gandy In Her New Song?

The 29-year-old is releasing her debut single, and it *certainly* sounds as though it's about her break-up with David...

Mollie King and David Gandy. A couple so good-looking, we should probably be a teeny bit happy that they broke up. Because quite frankly, that level of genetic luck is unfair.

The couple officially ended their five year on-off romance back in January, after it was alleged that they’d come to blows over future plans.

Since calling it a day, Mollie and David have both remained pretty tight-lipped over the split – until now…

Basically, Mollie has announced the release of her first solo single Back to You, which she’s hinted may be about her supermodel ex. Eep.

Mollie’s told The Sun that she found creative inspiration in her own love life, revealing that ‘the song is about a relationship that you know isn’t working but keep going back to them because you love them’.

The 29-year-old added: It is about a relationship I had that was in the public eye, but I’ve said
everything I want to say about it in the lyrics to the song.’

Interesting…

Since confirming that Back To You is most probably aimed at David, she’s also debuted the promo for the video on her Instagram. And surprise surprise, it features a Gandy-esqe model. Do we sense a theme here?!

In the clip, Mol can be heard singing: ‘And I wonder what you’re thinking right now, ’cause I’m going through hell. And I wonder why we’re doing this now, I keep asking myself.’

Yikes.

At the time of their split, a source told The Sun:Mollie wants to start a family and is desperate for [David] to commit. Almost all of her bandmates have kids and it’s difficult for her to see them then go home to nothing.’

Not sure about you, but we’re pretty excited to hear the entire version of Back To You.
