Miley Cyrus: The Words We Didn’t Expect To Hear

Miley Cyrus has hit back at her critics, as she claims to be ‘one of the biggest feminists in the world’.

She may be best known for swinging naked on a Wrecking Ball, licking a sledgehammer and her habit for twerking, on and off stage, but Miley says she’s all about girl power.

Following her latest stunt at the MTV EMAs, where she smoked a joint on stage in Amsterdam, she’s responded to criticism about her bad girl rep.

‘I feel like I’m one of the biggest feminists in the world because I tell women to not be scared of anything,’ she told BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat.

‘I’m for anybody and anything, I don’t care what you want to do, what you want to look like,’ she added, explaining that if a man can go topless on a beach, ‘so why can’t we?’

Addressing THAT controversial Robin Thicke performance at the MTV VMAs last month, she explained: ‘I don’t actually walk around all day twerking with my tongue out dressed as a teddy bear.’

Well that’s a relief.

‘I never worry about what I do on stage making me look bad. I think people if they actually knew me would be surprised at how normal I am’

So Miley is just another adverage girl, after all. Who knew.
