Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews is a complex character, and his season six antics have been no exception.
And after his spat with BFF Jamie Laing reached water fight levels in Monday night’s episode, we’re holding our breath for his next dramatic move.
But is Spenny just a misunderstood man? We caught up with the Chelsea lothario to find out what really makes him tick, and it looks like his troubles could all stem back to a certain Caggie Dunlop.
“I’m back to being a bit nicer. I’m actually a very nice person, I feel a bit misunderstood, especially after season five,” he confessed to us.
Explaining: “I make mistakes and I make them all the time but I don’t think the nicer side of my character gets covered much but this series it will.”
After kicking off season six in therapy sessions, it looked like Spenny was turning things around. “With the loss of Hugo and Caggie I think I just turned dark.
“I was Mr Nice Guy for two series, then I went a bit dark in three, then went a bit rogue in four, then just turned evil in five!”
Telling us where he goes from here, Spencer says: “I’ve made a conscious effort to better myself. That does not mean I haven’t made mistakes because I have messed up already but I’m not quite as bad as I have been.”
Erm, small steps then. Do you think Spencer is the most misunderstood man on TV?
