And as always, her fans rushed to support the star with a flurry of kind comments.

‘I’m so sorry’, one wrote, whilst another added: ‘So sorry to hear this ? stay strong malin ❤❤❤.’

A third offered up more kind words, commenting: ‘My mum has breast cancer aswell. You and your mum are so strong and she will fight this, cancer will not win! Stay strong beauty!❤️❤️❤️ ‘.

However, Malin is doing something incredible in the wake of the bad news, because she’s only going and ditching alcohol in an effort to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Bravo, lady.

‘Going to be Zero alcohol for me this month!!’, she added. ‘Please donate to such a good cause ?❤️ Check out my JustGiving Page for Cancer Research UK. Help me raise more!’

On her Just Giving page, the Love Island star explains that her father passed away from skin cancer and her uncle from lung cancer. Just awful.

Calling her mum her ‘inspiration’ and her ‘absolute life’, Malin continues on to explain that her mum had the same disease 15 years ago, but battled breast cancer and came out the other side.
