...days after Liam lashed out at the The X Factor judge
It looks like Louis Walsh has backtracked on those Cheryl comments.
The 64-year-old lashed out at the singer, 33, last week, swearing at a reporter who asked if he thought she’d return to The X Factor.
He snapped: ‘Well Simon [Cowell] wouldn’t invite Cheryl back because we have Nicole [Scherzinger].
‘We have Nicole and Sharon [Osbourne], we don’t need another girl. So go and f*** off now!’
He then lent forward and jokily slapped at the journalist, adding: ‘No silly questions, seriously. It’s not about Cheryl. Don’t be stupid, man.’
Louis later told MailOnline that he was ‘not really excited’ about Cheryl’s rumoured ‘pregnancy’, as he hasn’t seen her for so long.
This led Cheryl’s boyfriend Liam Payne to direct an expletive-laden rant at Louis, who’d made the dig while at an X Factor photocall with his act 5 After Midnight.
Liam, 23, Tweeted: ‘Congratulations Louis Walsh for setting the worst example on handling media for his band who are about to step into a very hard industry.

‘Maybe it’s about time you realise it’s not all about you and shut the f*** up for once, let them speak.’
But now Louis appears to have had a change of heart, telling the Daily Star: ‘I think Cheryl and Liam starting a family will make her really happy. I honestly think she deserves to be happy.
‘And I think this will make her happy over and above what her career does. I don’t think being a mum will affect her career at all if she doesn’t want it to. It’s never too late. I only wish her the best.
‘Liam’s a nice guy. I have nothing bad to say about them.’
Let’s hope they can all kiss and make up now, eh?
