Lily Aldridge Interview: “My Top Three Outfits Picks”

Lily Aldridge is a body beautiful Victoria’s Secret model, wife to Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill and a new mum to baby Dixie. She is also the owner of a very fabulous wardrobe.

So when LOOK were lucky enough to sit down Lily for an exclusive interview (read it in this week’s LOOK, on sale now) we asked her to name three outfits she loves the most from the past year.

On the top of her list is a gorgeous yellow number she graced the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s annual celebration of fashion in May.

“I loved the Tommy Hilfiger dress I wore to the Met Gala Ball,” says Lily. “The theme was punk and I knew a lot of people would be in black, so I went for a red lip and a yellow gown. I wanted to be understated. The craziest I went was a little braid mohawk – that was my little touch of punk!”

On a night where many celebrities got it so wrong we give Lily a big thumbs up for her choice (ooh, and hubby Caleb looks pretty good too).

Her second pick – a canary yellow blouse, PVC trousers and a gorgeous oversized Celine bag – is an off duty look that ticks all the boxes.

“I was having lunch with a girlfriend out and about in New York and went for a bit of rock and roll,” explains Lily. “I think this style is cool and comfortable and the yellow Alexander Wang top is such a pretty colour pop.”

Lily admits in her exclusive interview in this week’s LOOK that she got her pre-baby body back in shape in just 16 weeks after the birth of her daughter last June by training with Mary Helen Bower, who coached Natalie Portman for Black Swan.

And it was the part-leotard, part-sheer white dress that Lily donned to the June launch of Mary’s Ballet Beautiful Custom Workout in New York that completes her top outfit pick.

“The dress is so beautiful and feminine,” says Lily. “There’s the leotard underneath which is nice for ballet and I love the colour white, it’s so clean and classic.”
