The father-of-one has been gushing about his little family while promoting his new music in the US...
Liam Payne has been a busy bee promoting his highly anticipated debut single, Strip That Down.
The former One Direction singer, 23, has also been talking to a number of different fans about his new baby son Bear and his lady Cheryl.
Yesterday Liam is said to have spilled the beans about the middle name of his son, who is now almost two months old, when he bumped into a group of fans in Boston.
According to these Directioners, the singer told them that it’s ‘Grey’, making Bear’s full name Bear Grey Payne!
Now, Liam has been gushing (once again) about his home life with Chezza.
Chatting to SiriusXm on Tuesday about the shoot for his upcoming album – you know, the topless one that you’ve been seeing all over Instagram – Liam confessed that he couldn’t wait to treat himself to some fast food afterwards.
One of the presenters then took the opportunity to joke about whether In-N-Out Burger was the real reason for his visit to LA.
Liam joked, ‘Yeah, exactly…
‘I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out Burger.’
Hold up. Did he just refer to Cheryl as his WIFE?
Yup. Fans on social media definitely noticed. And, natch, hysteria ensued.
Frenzied tweets included: ‘Wait. Liam called Cheryl his wife in an interview… IM SO CONFUSED BUT ILL BE HAPPY IF THEYRE MARRIED OR ENGAGED OR SOMETHING!! @LiamPayne’ and ‘”My wife and child” WHAT LIAM WHAT DID YOU SAY’.

However, a fan account was quick to point out that ‘wife’ can be used as a term of endearment, writing: ‘Liam called Cheryl his girlfriend in the interview as well! “I left my wife and child” is a saying so let’s not start to assume things💕’.
In fact, a source has reportedly confirmed to E! News that the pair have not married in secret.
Liam has previously referred to his lady as ‘the most beautiful girlfriend in the world’, describing her as ‘absolutely amazing’ and his ‘dream girl’.
So, of course, we’re still hoping for wedding bells one day.
