It's been reported that Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has his eyes on the One Direction singer for a musical role...
Liam Payne may be about to become a first-time father, but that doesn’t mean the work offers aren’t still rolling in.
In fact, it’s been reported that Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is keen to sign the One Direction singer up for a new run of his hit musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
An insider tells The Sun: ‘Andrew has told those involved that his dream signing is Liam. He thinks he can bring so much to the role of Joseph, he’s a natural performer.
‘There was talk of other pop stars being approached but he wants to keep the bar high and they don’t come much bigger than 1D.’
We can’t deny that. But if true, we’re not entirely sure if Liam would take Sir Andrew up on his offer.
Before jetting back to the UK to focus on his and Cheryl’s little one, the 23-year-old was busy working on his debut solo album over in LA.
He revealed he’d been signed last year, telling fans on Instagram: ‘Very happy to have signed to my new record label Capitol Records. They have such an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps. One direction will always be my home and family but I’m very excited to see what this chapter brings [sic].’

Not only that, but we can imagine Chezza, 33, will be keen to have her man around as much as possible, especially as they aren’t thought to be hiring a nanny.
According to pals, while this is down to wanting things to be as ‘normal as possible’ for the baby, it’s a lot to do with Cheryl’s concerns about privacy. She’s said in the past: ‘I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t trust anyone in my life except my mother.’
But Liam would look great in that famous coat, so we’ll just have to wait and see…
