Leg cleavage: the new buzzword that’s sweeping the internet.
We can hear you crying out with questions from all the way over here. So, what exactly is leg cleavage?
Coined by the Guardian and sparked by this week’s epic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, this new fashion trend is essentially the art of showcasing your legs, in all their glory, with a dramatic v-shaped hemline.
Meeting at the centre of your thights, this masterful cut gives the very same illusion of a deep-v neckline, wth your thighs acting as the cleavage.
Of course, this is nothing new. Celebrities have been flashing their pins on the red carpet for years. But, who doesn’t love a neat new term to show off their assets?
Jess Cartner-Morley writes: ‘leg cleavage is what we’re calling the style worn by Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez on stage.’
We love it.
Kendall Jenner has also rocked this look on the red carpet before now, at the American Music Awards back in 2014, and Laura Whitmore has also nodded to the centre-parted leg-baring trend on the red carpet too.
We’ve had the Instagram movement that was thighbrows, championing a positive body image, so it’s great to see yet another trend that could encourage women to embrace their bodies.
And with the party season about to explode, it’s the perfect time to take a sartorial risk.
Will you dare to bare?
