Lea Michele Returns To Glee Set For First Time Since Cory Monteith’s Death

Lea Michele shared her excitement at returning to work yesterday, tweeting about getting back on the Glee set for the first time since the death of her co-star boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The 26-year-old star tweeted: “First day of glee today..And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I’ve missed her so much❤”. Lea’s been back on Twitter over the past week letting her fans know that she’s coping in the wake of boyfriend Cory’s fatal drug overdose last month.

“Spending the day surrounded by great friends.. Hope you all are having a good day.. Sending lots of love to you all..”, read the Glee star’s post from earlier this week.

It’s just been announced that the Glee cast will be filming a special Season 5 tribute episode to explain Cory’s character Finn Hudson‘s exit from the show, due to air this autumn. Fox chairman Kevin Reilly said: “[The] episode will deal directly with the incidents involved in Cory’s passing and with the drug abuse.”

Reilly also added that the special episode was to be a “celebration” of the late actor’s life, telling TCA: “You see some people struggling with addiction, it’s clear: ‘He was dark, she was always a partier.’ Cory wasn’t like that. He was a big, open, wonderful life force.”
