Lauren Goodger’s Instagram page has become known for its workout pictures (thanks for the gym inspo, LG) and contoured make-up selfies.
This time, however, it’s a picture of her nephew that’s grabbed our attention. Why? Well, it’s set off a huge parenting debate, and it still seems to be raging on.
The former TOWIE star uploaded a photograph of 2-year-old Teddy, alongside the caption, ‘My beautiful baby nephew x’.
Naturally, her fans were quick to gush at how cute the family snap was.
But a few rushed to point out that he’s wearing a dummy, with some referencing that it could be ‘bad’. Many wanted to voice their own opinions on the age you ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’ be allowing a child to use one.

One comment read, ‘Out come the dummy police! You people going on about him having a dummy are ridic! Who cares!’
Another said, ‘Dummy at that age??? Stop being so judgemental…’
One of Lauren’s followers hit back at all of the criticism: ‘If it’s not your child, it’s not your concern/problem. Kid looks happy, healthy and is obviously loved. All that matters’.
And we have to say, bravo!
As with most parenting decisions, it comes down to personal choice. So let’s leave Lauren, Teddy and his mum alone, shall we?
