Lauren Conrad Recalls A Difficult Time On The Hills

We still get warm and fuzzy feelings whenever we think back to The Hills.

We only need to hear the first line of Natasha Bedingfield’s ‘The Rest Is Still Unwritten…’, and we’re right back in our bedrooms watching the Hollywood dramz unfold before our eyes.

Sure, we’ve since been plagued by revalations of scripted lines and faked relationships (SOB).

But now, we’ve discovered a piece of information that might make us watch a few episodes in a whole new light.

Lauren Conrad is all grown up now. She’s a successful fashion designer and has tied the knot in possibly the most Instagrammable wedding of ALL TIME. But she’s been recalling some of her early reality TV experiences to US Weekly.

More specifically, her shock arrival at the wedding to Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

She revealed that the producers ‘wouldn’t let me leave.’ Blimey.

Dedicated fans of the MTV show will remember that, not only did this momentous event see that emotional conversation with former BFF Heidi, but it also marked her exit of the show.

She explained, ‘The power went out, the generator went out and I said, “I need to leave!”

‘And [producers] wouldn’t let me leave! They literally locked me in the basement with two security guards and wouldn’t let me leave! And I was like, “You can’t keep me here!” I was throwing a fit!’

Maybe they just didn’t want you to leave, LC.

But producer Adam DiVello insists that she wasn’t actually locked in. Audrina told the publication that there were often ‘screaming matches about us faking the show all the time’ between Lauren and producers.

Blimey.

Well, at least she was staying true to herself…
