Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Dress Defended

Kim Kardashian came under fire for her choice of loud floral outfit at the Met Gala 2013, and it’s safe to say not many came running to her defence. That is, apart from the Givenchy designer who created it, Riccardo Tisci.

The floral, floor length, high neck gown with in-built gloves designed by Riccardo was accused of not flattering her heavily pregnant frame. Some even drew comparisons to sofa cushions, but Riccardo was having none of it.

Kim has faced criticism throughout her pregnancy from many who claim she has failed to flatter her new curves, but Riccardo is all in favour of her embracing them. He said: “I have dressed many pregnant women in the past. People can say what they want. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world, and when you celebrate something, you give people flowers. I think she looked amazing.”

Adding high praise for the darling of reality TV, he also said: “She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.”
