Kim Kardashian West has had a pretty tough time of it lately.
Having experienced a series of complications surrounding her pregnancy, and recently suffering some harsh body-shaming, it’s no wonder that the reality star wanted to take the edge off by releasing throwback snaps from a past shoot – which, coincidentally, was all in the name of learning to love herself.
Any KUWTK viewer will remember this striking set-up, which saw the 35-year-old take to the middle of the sandy desert with nothing but a few licks of white paint, and photographer Kesler Tran capturing the moments.
Sharing the final images on her personal website this week, kimkardashianwest.com, the star announced: ‘New pics on my app! DESERT SHOOT’.
Fans didn’t take too long to point out some apparent discrepancies between these black and white stills and the footage from her hit reality TV show, which aired on E! back in May.
One Twitter user shared a side-by-side shot, which highlighted the differences, captioning the image: ‘LOL @ all the photoshop tho…’
Others were quick to comment on Kim’s Instagram, with one writing: ‘Seriously, this is photoshopped. She’s a lot thinner in this photo compared to episode that showed this photoshoot.’
Another simply said: ‘Photoshop. I saw the original photo.’
Ahead of the photoshoot, Kim was seen talking about her body confidence, linked to a skin condition that she was suffering from.
She told the cameras: ‘I have psoriasis, there is nothing I can do about it so there is no reason why I should feel uncomfortable.’
‘So to make myself feel better I lay out all my insecurities before we start a shoot in the hope that no one will be focused on that. I just want to do fun and artsy things.’

Kim has not addressed the rumours surrounding this photoshopping, and it may just be as simple as differing camera angles.
Either way, Kim-K has pulled another striking shoot out of the bag.
And we hope that she’s feeling more confident as a result.
