Kim Kardashian Explains Why She Stopped Breastfeeding

Kim Kardashian has explained why she’s stopped breastfeeding baby Saint. And we’re sure it’s a struggle many other mums can symptahise with…

The 35-year-old mum-of-two gave birth to her first boy at the end of last year, and has openly admitted that it’s been tricky for her firstborn, two-year-old North.

What was trickiest, Kim admits, was carrying on breastfeeding Saint due to Nori’s jealousy.

‘North West stopped that for me’, she said of breastfeeding during a chat on Kocktails With Khloe. ‘You’ll die when I tell you what she did. First of all she’d cry so much and try to pull him off me.

‘I was feeding him on [one] side and she was so jealous that she took her little milk box and put it in my bra with the straw sticking out and she wanted to drink while he was drinking.’

Aw. However, it sounds like Nori soon got over the green-eyed monster – but by then, it was too late.

‘She said to me this weekend: “Mummy, I’m not mad anymore. You can feed baby brother and I won’t cry”‘, Kim continued. ‘And I was like: “Honey, the milk’s all dried up.”‘

Khloe, who has always been a doting auntie to North (but who clearly knows her ways), replied: ‘She knows what she’s doing.’

This isn’t the first time Kim’s mentioned the fact that North wasn’t a fan of Kim breastfeeding her little brother.

Back in Janaury, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wrote a blog post about the exact same issue. ‘For some reason, North hates when I feed the baby, and she lays on my lap so Saint can’t be right in front of me to eat, LOL!’, she wrote.

‘I’ve started to include her: Sometimes I will pump and have her feed him the bottle. That totally worked! She loved helping me, as opposed to my attention being off of her, and now she is my little helper.’

Motherhood’s all about learning as you go, right Kimmy? Sounds like she’s doing a pretty sterling job of it, if you ask us.
