Keira Knightley walked down the aisle today, in a low-key ceremony in the South of France. Wearing a pale pink strapless tulle dress, cream Chanel boucle jacket and peach ballerina flats, Keira grinned from ear to ear as she left Hotel de Ville, Mazan with her new husband – Klaxons’ keyboard player – James Righton.
The actress accessorised with a garland of small flowers in a chain around her head, a simple necklace and dark shades. And there were no fancy cars whisking them away from the town hall – instead the newlyweds got into a Renault Clio. Only 11 guests were at the ceremony, with a larger party happening later at Keira‘s mum’s house, nearby. (We wish our mum had a house in the South of France…)
“It was a very moving ceremony,” one guest told The Sun. “There were cheers of ‘Well done, Keira‘ when she came out, but there were so few people present so they didn’t make much noise.”It was amusing to see them being driven away in a battered old Renault Clio – it certainly looked as though it had seen better days.”

Keira Knightley is getting ready to walk down the aisle this weekend, according to reports. The gorgeous actress is rumoured to be marrying her boyfriend of two years, Klaxons keyboardist James Righton in a super-secret ceremony in the South of France. A source told The Sun: “Most of their friends will fly out for the wedding on Friday. They’ve been planning it for a while, but wanted something small and private. They could get married in total private in stunning surroundings.”
Keira and James were engaged last summer and wasted no time moving into their multi-million pound east London mansion, but apart from the odd PDA the couple have kept their relationship very much out of the limelight. So it comes as no surprise that Keira’s keeping the whole shebang an intimate affair, as she recently confessed earlier this month that she wasn’t too bothered about getting hitched:

“We’re not big wedding types,” she said. “I don’t need to have all that. I’m just trying to enjoy the engagement bit.”
The pair were introduced by mutual friend and fashion royalty Alexa Chung, so we’re guessing a whole host of achingly stylish fashionistas will be on the guest list. And when the bride is the face of Coco Mademoiselle, we can’t even bear to think about how amazing Keira’s dress will be.
Now we’re just waiting for our invitation… Must have got lost in the post.
