Katie Piper is one of the most beautiful ladies out there – both inside and out.
So when she posted an Instagram photo of herself and her dad enjoying a day out at the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday, our thoughts (obviously) went to how lovely she looked.
The 32-year-old had opted for a white Lost Ink maxi, which featured a lacy floral pattern, a cinched-in waist and cap sleeves.
She’d paired the super-pretty piece with a nude bag and matching heels, and had styled her brunette locks into loose waves.
Of course, the majority of fans were seriously impressed by Katie’s look.
Comments included: ‘Beautiful dress! You look amazing,’ and: ‘Your outfit is beautiful Katie!! Love the nude with the White. You look stunning X.’
But one message ended up provoking a bit of a negative reaction. It read: ‘Mini bump? :).’
Now, it’s worth noting that this question didn’t appear to be asked in malice. Katie’s already mum to two-year-old daughter Belle, and married husband Richard Sutton last November.
But it still raised an important question… is it EVER acceptable to ask a woman if she’s expecting?
Katie was quick to respond, writing: ‘Sadly I am not pregnant just put on weight!’
This led one Instagram user to hit out: ‘Don’t say things like that because if someone isn’t pregnant then it might offend them. I look 4 months pregnant after eating dinner! But I wouldn’t want someone pointing it out lol.’

Another said: ‘You look beautiful & wonderfully healthy @katiepiper_ – jeez how folk can call that a baby bump I don’t know! I must look 6 months pregnant! [sic]’
The original poster has since apologised, telling Katie: ‘Ah I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend, you look lovely, absolutely right [other users] currently working off my baby pounds.’
So let’s hope this is a lesson learned. And Katie, please may we borrow that dress…?!
