Kate Middleton is making every effort to stay fit and healthy throughout her pregnancy. The Duchess Of Cambridge has swapped her old exercise routine of running and hiking for prenatal yoga classes, a source tells Us Weekly.
The insider said: “Kate has a yoga instructor visit her at the palace,” and added that she still goes for long walks “a handful of times a week, just to increase her heart rate a little.”
Kate is a keen sportswoman and is known to enjoy both hockey and rowing, but now that she’s got a royal baby on the way, the Duchess understands she needs to adapt her regime to include more gentle activities. She’s often spotted walking her dog Lupo around Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and we’re hoping to see her strolling around the parks with a buggy when baby arrives in July.
Staying healthy doesn’t mean she’s giving up luxuries like chocolate, though. The source adds: “She’s got sugar on the brain. Chocolates, biscuits, cake. When she sneaks off to a nearby Starbucks for a decaf coffee, she’ll often pick up a baked good!”
