Kate Middleton‘s parents have been invited to take part in the royal family’s annual Christmas gathering at Sandringham by the Queen!
It’s the first time that people outside the royal family have been invited to the traditional Christmas day celebration, and US Weekly reports that the Queen hopes to encourage Kate to enjoy the festivities “despite this difficult time”.
Kate announced her pregnancy earlier than hoped after she was rushed to hospital with an acute form of morning sickness, and she made her first public appearance since leaving the hospital at the BBC Sports Personality Of The Year awards at the weekend.
She’s also enjoyed two Christmas lunches this week – one at Buckingham Palace with the extended royal family, and one at Notting Hill restaurant Bumpkin with her husband Prince William and their staff.
Kate‘s Christmas plans are undecided as yet, with a source telling US Weekly that she won’t finalise them “until the night before or the morning of. It depends on how she feels, and if Catherine doesn’t go, William probably won’t either.”
We hope she continues to be well enough to celebrate with them all! BS
