Kate Middleton has a jam-packed social diary this week. Just when we were cooing over her bargain Topshop dress from yesterday, the Duchess Of Cambridge stepped out on a surprise visit with the Queen and Prince Phillip to celebrate 150 years of the London Underground.
It’s not every day you see Kate Middleton on the tube, but the pregnant Duchess rocked up to Baker Street station this lunchtime, looking stunning in a teal Malene Birger coat with black embroidery. She wore black tights, her favourite black suede court shoes and matching gloves for the visit, finishing off her polished look with a chic Angela Kelly hat.
Kate is joining the Queen and Prince Phillip at Baker Street, as it was the first part of the network which opened to the public in 1863. She was given an official London Underground ‘baby on board’ badge by the network’s chief and said: “I’ll make sure I wear it at home!”
The Queen unveiled a brand new train, which was named after her (how cool is that?) as the Duchess looked on smiling. She said: “I used to travel on the tube on a regular basis.”
Ah, those were the days! RM
