Kate Middleton might be covered in snow and wearing a stripy Scout necktie but she’s still managing to look gorgeous while training with the UK Scout Association in Cumbria today.
The pregnant Duchess Of Cambridge made it to the event despite gale-force winds and blizzards, putting on her biggest smile for the excited Scouts and volunteers. This is one star who isn’t going to let frizzy hair and freezing conditions put a downer on her day.
Kate wrapped up her bump in a khaki jacket, blue skinny jeans, a khaki hat from Really Wild Clothing, her favourite Chameau wellies and a navy blue, red and white traditional Scout neckerchief.
Kate has been volunteering for the Scouts near her home in Anglesey since last January and today she’s joining 24 other adults to learn about working with young Scouts, aged 8-10.
The royal was given a tour of the Great Tower Scout Camp at Newby Bridge before taking part in a number of activities, including making dough twists over a fire. Yum! She’s also being taught how to light a traditional campfire and climb trees. Umm, you might want to give that one a miss today, Duchess…
Earlier this week, Kate told well-wishers she was hoping for a baby boy when she gives birth in July. Given her new training, she’s going to be the coolest mum in the club! RM
