Kate Middleton steps out without Prince George for SportsAid event

Kate Middleton has just stepped out at a SportsAid event at the Olympic Park, as she attends her first solo engagement since giving birth to Prince George in July.

The Duchess of Cambridge has cut her maternity leave short to attend the event, making it her first public appearance as a new mum, without Prince William.

Naturally Kate looked gorgeous in her favourite shade of navy blue, as she teamed a Ralph Lauren Breton top with J Brand skinny jeans, a blazer and her trusted Russell & Bromley wedges.

The signature outfit also appeared to be a look-a-like version of the combo she wore to meet the Team GB Hockey team around the 2012 Olympics.

Heading inside the Copper Box Arena, Kate, who’s the patron of the charity Sports Aid, looked happy to be chatting away with young athletes. She did have to decline a spot of badminton though, but couldn't resist the urge to join the volleyball team for a quick game.

Kate Middleton is officially back. Hooray!
