Kate Middleton wrapped up warm in her berry winter coat today for her first official trip to Newcastle, where she gave 10-year-old schoolboy Terry Campbell a massive hug!
The Duchess Of Cambridge made her way down the line of well-wishers and laughed as Terry held his arms out for a hug, before asking, “Am I going to get a cuddle as well?”
“I was hoping to get a hug from her when we came here this morning. I never actually thought it would happen. I can’t believe she hugged me back. She was everything I thought she would be. She was really nice.”
Kate was solo for the trip, as her husband Prince William attended the funeral of his former nanny. She embarked on her first official trip of the North East alone, meeting community groups and school children in Elswick Park, after hugging Terry outside Newcastle’s Civic Centre.
Such adorable pics! BS
