Kanye West Finally Explains Why He Went To Meet President-Elect Donald Trump

The internet could not handle this...

Kanye West baffled the world when he was spotted walking into Trump Towers yesterday, for a meeting with President-Elect Donald Trump.

Just as reports were circulating that Kim Kardashian West is ‘annoyed’ about the fact that her husband isn’t resting, following a stay in hospital, the rapper was filmed entering Trump’s building.

The internet wasn’t ready. But, it’s 2016, so we’ll basically believe anything to be possible at this point.

Social media reacted in a variety of different ways. Enter, Twitter.

Oh dear.

The pair walked out of their meeting together, and were faced with a wall of cameras and questions.

Both Trump and Kanye seemed pretty elusive about what they’d discussed, with the president-elect saying, simply, ‘We’ve been friends for a long time … We were discussing life.’

Yeezy decided to explain things a little further later on, taking to Twitter to tell his followers that he wished to discuss issues that he feels are important. Sounds completely fair to us.

The Life Of Pablo star began, ‘I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.’

He added, ‘These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernising curriculums, and violence in Chicago.’

Kanye stated, ‘I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.’

If Kanye can use his influence to make lives better, we can only see that as a good thing.

Many of his fans agreed, with reactions including:

But then, Kanye dropped the mic with a simple hashtag, drawing attention to #2024.

Many have taken this to mean that he’s planning on delaying his bid for presidency – yup, remember when that announcement happened? – by four years…

Hmm.

We’ll just have to wait and see how this one unfolds…
