We knew it was all one big misunderstanding, but Jennifer Aniston's husband felt compelled to speak out after that Instagram post...
Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston do not seem like the types to create celebrity drama.
So when speculation started to build around a photograph that the actor had posted to his Instagram account – which just so happened to include the words ‘f*** Brad Pitt’ – we knew that it had to be an unfortunate coincidence.
Sure enough, once attention was put on the words that featured in the background of the artwork, the 45-year-old decided to clear things up once and for all.
And, just as we’d previously surmised, there was NO drama to see, thank you very much.
Justin returned to his original post and added the hashtag: ‘#andNOthispostisNOT‘shading’anyonebecauseimnotelevemyearsoldimeanseriously’.
The actor originally uploaded the image to his official Instagram account a few days ago, along with the caption: ‘#currentelectionmood #berlin #graffiti #f***ingnickflatt’.
We mean, with everything that’s been going on with the upcoming US presidential election, we can understand his thinking…
The street art shows a woman biting down on her middle finger, with a series of angry words, such as ‘f*** war’ and ‘f*** racism’, on the wall behind her. But eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that, hidden amongst the expletives, the line ‘f*** Brad Pitt’ also featured.
Clearly, this was not the reason for Justin’s social media update.
The Girl On The Train star has previously spoken out on the issue of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce, rising above any potential drama and sharing some supportive words for the famous family.
Speaking to Business Insider at an event for the film, he expressed his sympathy at the news: ‘As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say.’

He continued: ‘It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that’s horrible.’
Way to handle it like a boss, JT.
