Jennifer Aniston's husband has spoken out about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce...

When the sad news broke that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were heading for divorce, it didn’t take very long at all for Jennifer Aniston’s name to start getting dropped all over the show.

Yup. Despite the fact that Brad and Jen split YEARS ago, and the obvious knowledge that she’s now happily married to Justin Theroux, the world seemed obsessed with how she would take the news. And a whole back catalogue of Rachel Green memes ensued.

Now though, her hubby has spoken out about the split that’s rocked the celebrity world.

Speaking to Business Insider at an event for his film, The Girl On The Train, he expressed his sympathy at the news: ‘As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say.’

He continued: ‘It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that’s horrible.’

So, how does he feel about his wife being dragged into the whole thing?

According to Business Insider, he said, ‘There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite.

‘But I think a lot of people do because people buy it.’

Despite undoubtedly seeing her name everywhere, Jennifer has kept a dignified silence about the whole thing.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married when he filmed Mr & Mrs Smith alongside Angelina Jolie, and this was rumoured to have played a part in their split. Of course, that was never going to be a good time for Jen An.

But, as we’ve said, Jennifer hasn’t been with Brad since 2005. And she’s a happily married woman these days (and even if she wasn’t, we have no doubt that she’d be perfectly happy doing the independent woman thing).

Keep doing you, Jen and Justin. Because we love it.
